Welcome to today’s ❤️”Heart of the Matter”❤️ video on getting permission to use movie clips in your INSTAGRAM and YOUTUBE videos. Have you ever wanted to use little clips from famous movies in your YouTube videos and Instagram videos? If so, you could just put them in, claim “Fair Use”, and risk COPYRIGHT LAW problems. Or, you could get permission from the actual production studios themselves.

I often request permission to use copyright movie clips for my videos. And so, in this video, I discuss fair use movie clips, the youtube fair use doctrine, copyright infringement, how to use movie clips on youtube without copyright issues, and youtube copyright, in general. It can be a daunting process to request use of famous movie clips for your YouTube videos and Instagram videos. You have to submit the permission request in the proper way. You have to be very descriptive in what you want to use. And, you have to WAIT!

In this video, I also touch upon entering into written license agreements and what to watch out for. If you have any questions about using movie clips in your videos, I’d love to hear them! Please put them in the comment section below!
